Jakarta Investors eager to buy Bali Real Estate Bali, June 20, 2003 Lucky we live in Bali. These were our thoughts as we stepped off the plane Sunday night at the Bali airport. The full moon with crystal clear skies and a gentle breeze blowing off the ocean reaffirmed our long term commitment to make Bali home. We had just spent four days in Jakarta where we provided two free seminars on Bali Real Estate Opportunities. Although we had put it together last minute, and only advertised it very little, the seminars were successful beyond our wildest expectations. At first, the attendance numbers did not look good with only 15 signing up before we arrived. By the time we had finished over thirty five sophisticated buyers and investors had attended. Since it was very clear in our advertisements that we were going to present information on Bali Real Estate we can assume that most of these attendees were first, very interested, and second, able to afford to spend the large amount of capital required for Bali Real estate. There were bankers, oil and gas executives, securities experts, and wealthy housewives and investors. They all had one thing in common, they were interested in Bali real estate. In our presentation we talked about the excellent future for Bali Real estate and that even though we have been through a rash of bad news most Bali land prices, homes and villas had continued to grow in value in the past year. We sited examples from our sales records such as the couple who obtained beachfront property four years ago and had seen it increase over 400 % in a few years. Even in the past year one client sold for a 35% net profit and another turned down a 45 % net profit in the past twelve months. There was tremendous interest in beachfront properties and villa complexes which we are now offering. In fact one prudent investor purchased right on the spot subject to inspection .Two more of the attendees flew down in a few days to inspect potential properties and another is coming this weekend. Most indicated that they were very interested in more information. In fact on that Saturday morning seminar the attendees stayed around and talked to each other instead of rapidly dispersing. Not only were these individuals looking for profit but also for capital appreciation for long term. He watched their eyes as he described the ease of traffic while outside the seminar window Jakarta traffic was at a standstill. Mothers in the audience were particularly astute when he mentioned how safe villages such as Sanur and Renon are, and how he would feel comfortable with his wife being away from home at most hours of the day without fear of robbery or more horrendous s crimes. In conclusion when you combine the unbelievable low cost of living, clean air, and low crime, with the very low cost of housing, it is not difficult to understand why the attendees showed so much interest. Hundreds of thousands of wealthy buyers and investors in Jakarta may be taking a closer look at Bali real state in the future therefore driving up demand and prices. The bottom line is although it was nice living in a five star, first class hotel, where you are treated like a king when you go outside the hotel you realize just how lucky we are to live ion Bali.
