Tourist arrivals hit record high. It appears that our positive enthusiasm for the future of Indonesia and Bali's tourism and has been justified with the recent release of the statistics for the first quarter of 2004. Not only are tourist arrival numbers back to pre-Bali bombing numbers but they have have reached a six year high.

Bali obtains cheap, clean, source of power. One of the largest problems with developing resort areas throughout the world is the demand on local power supplies. Bali appears to be a winner when it comes to future power supplies in that it has just opened a new power plant on the north coast of Bali.
More important  is the reopening of geothermal wells which fell in disuse following the Suharto downfall and crises . One of the most attractive features of Bali is that most services and items are a fraction of what it costs at equivalent resort areas such as Hawaii . The main reason is that Indonesian is a major oil producer and generates electricity through diesel generator plants utilizing relatively cheap fuel .
