Bali Tourism almost back to normal.
Bali, Dec 5, 2003 A few calls this week to several large Bali travel agents and star rated hotels revealed that Bali’s battered tourist industry is looking very good for the coming holiday season. 
One of the top three five star hotels, with over three hundred rooms, is fully booked from Christmas to the middle of January. A large travel agency stated that the numbers look good
right through until March. This good news follows on the heels of official information released by the government tourist bureau stating that nation wide arrivals were up 2.85 % in October over September. This is very unusual since October normally sees a large drop off in tourist arrivals as we enter the low season. A brief walk around Sanur this week indicates that there are a lot more tourists in town then even a few weeks ago. The following is an excerpts from Bali Discovery Tours

Most Hotels Expecting Full House During Lebaran and Christmas Holidays.
(11/8/2003) Hotels across Bali are reporting heavy booking activity over the coming Lebaran Holidays (November 23 – December 1, 2003) and the Christmas-New Years Period (December 21, 2004 – January 06, 2004). Vacant rooms are either impossible to find or at a premium at many hotels during these traditionally high seasons as Bali-bound foreign holiday makers are supplemented by a large domestic market taking advantage of the extended public and school holidays.
Flights Also at a Premium
Airline seats bound for Bali are also in short supply with travel agents and tour operators from Australia and regional feeder cities, such as Singapore and Hong Kong, reporting Bali-bound seats in very short supply or completely sold out during the coming holiday periods.
